What is this service and why is data collected?

We use tracking and analytics tools to produce analytics reports and monitor our website’s usage.

What services are used?

We use Jetpack, Google Analytics, Google Maps, and Google My Business.

What is my data used for?

From this, we can calculate the number of unique visitors to our website, how many times each page has been loaded, your interactions with each page and its contents, and what country you are visiting our page from.

What personal data is collected?

This is gathered using ‘cookies’, which are small files stored in your browser and on your computer. These cookies are stored and obtained whenever you load our website. The presence of one of our cookies indicates that you are a regular visitor to this website. Data collected includes what device you are using (manufacturer, model, make), operating system, internet browser and IP address.

How long is data stored for?

Cookies usually last a maximum of 7 days on your computer. Our analytics data refresh and purge every 30 days.

What personal data is used but not stored?

Your IP (internet protocol) address is compared to a list of countries’ IP address ranges to identify which country you are visiting from and whether or not you should be given access to the website. This is not stored on our systems.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”). Google utilizes the Data collected to track and examine the use of this Application, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services.

Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. 7: Storing of Data

This website is hosted by German firm 1&1 IONOS on servers in the United Kingdom and Germany. Additional routing through Cloudflare is also used, using networks in the United Kingdom, EU countries and United States of America. Our company is registered in England and Wales, two countries that make up the United Kingdom.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

We will retain your data indefinitely until you tell us to remove it. You can do this by using the contact information at the top of the page. If you delete your account from our website, your details will be removed but may remain in backups. Wherever possible, we will try to remove it as soon as possible if we are able to.

8: What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

9: What data breach procedures we have in place

Part 1: We will close our website down following a data breach, deleting all data from our hosting partner 1&1 IONOS (UK), resetting details with our domain registrar GoDaddy (UK) and purging cache data on Jetpack and Cloudflare.

Part 2: We will send email notifications to registered users and post public alerts on our social media pages.

Part 3: We will check the last viable backup of our systems.

Part 4: We will restore our systems using a checked and verified backup. Users will be deleted alongside their data, meaning users will need to register for a new account.

Part 5: We will review any logs and see what procedures can be used in future to protect our systems and our users’ data.

10: Children’s data and safeguarding

This site is designed to be used by those over the age of 17 due to the services the business (JW Recovery) offers.

We do not ask for visitors’ ages and treat child visitors’ data as any other visitor’s data. Parents and children can contact us and we can delete the child’s data. We do not knowingly store any children’s data.
